Soft, graceful, and quietly connected, Gentle Whispers captures two white egrets sharing a peaceful moment among the reeds of a Louisiana marsh.
Layers of turquoise, blue, earthy greens, and weathered neutrals create a dreamy Southern landscape, while the sweeping wings and delicate posture of the egrets bring movement and tenderness to the composition. The piece has a calm presence from a distance, yet the layered textures and expressive marks reveal more the longer you look.
Inspired by the quiet beauty of Louisiana wetlands, Gentle Whispers is an original one-of-a-kind work created for a space that needs a little serenity, Southern character, and understated elegance.
