24" x 24" Original Painting
Lâche Pas is a 24" x 24" original inspired by my grandfather’s shrimping boat and the Louisiana coastal life that shaped so many of my memories.
The weathered shrimp boat pushes forward beneath a break in the clouds, surrounded by cool coastal blues, muted greens, worn neutrals, and touches of warm light. The loose lines, layered texture, and working-boat details give the piece both movement and history, while the Louisiana setting keeps it deeply rooted in place.
The title Lâche Pas carries a spirit of perseverance — a reminder to keep going, hold on, and not give up. For me, this piece is more than a shrimp boat. It is tied to family, memory, hard work, and a way of life that belongs to coastal Louisiana.
